I'll dig out some photos of mine when I get a mo, I did have a photocopy of the handbook that came with it but let it go when I sold it.

I nearly bought another earlier this year, but just before I was going to go down and see it, gales struck and badly damaged the roof and windows Sad I doubt erindoors would have been too keen anyway, after the last one we had a few years back!

Gawd! I don't remember them being that flash. My father and uncle bought two new ones in around 1965. They had been in stock too long and went for £100 each. It was towed behind my fathers 1200cc Beetle and we borrowed it a few times. I believe it had been created by the rain gods, a black cloud followed it where ever it went, except one memorable holiday in Devon.
I bought one in the 1990s, for old times sake, but never got around to using it because it was a little too heavy for my 1932 Austin 10. Bought a Chateaumobile instead.

Don.

this is the only scanned photo I have of mine to hand, at Tatton Park many years ago. The A40 didn't tow it by the way (note lack of tow-bar Smile)

Will have a rummage through some albums (35mm photos back then!) to see if I have any more to scan

Great to see the pics of your superb portafold, i have always been fascinated by folding vans and folding campers having spent most of my childhood at classic car shows and camping in my parents Conway Tardis folding camper.

I always wanted a portafold but whenever i had the money i didnt have space and by the time i made space all the money was gone! However, I dropped lucky on ebay just recently & acquired a rather unique folding van, even rarer than a portafold because it is actually the only one in the world.

It dates from 1962 and from what the previous owner tells me was a prototype for an envisaged rival to the Dandy folding camper, however it was deemed to expensive to produce and so it never entered production.
