| since i don't live in the UK i'm quite ignorant of how the specifics of things are done over there. i'm wondering if you are allowed to build, from scratch, your own caravan to your spec, and how (IF) you then get it licensed (and then taxed..) so it is by law YOURS? i've always been intrigued by the building of "specials" from horribly out-of-date and obsolete cars which are then driven at (suitably!) outrageous speed to the joy of all (except Plod). is the building of "home-made" equipment still such a simple (appearing) endeavour? |

i see! much the same as our local lawn-care semi-professionals and their home made equipment trailers lacking lights, with mis-matched wheels and tyres, assuredly without brakes, and always shedding the odd tool or bit along the road. i have a plan forming in my brain for a caravan...
or possibly a conversion of a Ford van to a motorised caravan. |
