Hello
I am a Vintage /classic Vanner from Australia. (See my previous post under Mustang)

We are visiting the UK and Europe from next month for my husbands birthday and long service leave.

Are there any Vintage Van museums OS?

I wonder how the cost of vintage vans in Uk and Europe compares to Australia?

We will not resore Alice to a pristine condition just cosmetic

Hi oz_caravan

I don't know a huge amount about older caravans, but I don't remember ever reading of a caravan museum in the UK - many motor museums have a caravan or two somewhere within their display (like the one I saw at the Lakeland Motor Museum the other weekend) but if anyone knows of a caravan collection, hopefully they'll pop a mention here Smile

I have to agree with Rick - I am not aware of a museum for classic caravans, but there are some car museums with one or two caravans. The Ford/BL museum at Gaydon has a 1930's caravan but as their display is changed very regularly it would be worthwhile calling first if you were going to travel any distance.

The best place to see classic UK caravans is going to be at one of the bigger classic car shows.

From May 16-20 there is the European Classic Caravan Clubs annual meeting in Slagharen Netherlands. I hope to be there with my Amazon and Safari. There will be around 150 caravans from all over Europe, many towed by classic cars. Details here:

If you could send me an idea of your itinerary with dates, I may be able to suggest some shows.
