Hi all, i thought i would quickly indroduce myself to the forum. Im only in my early teens but im verry interested in classics. I own a classic yamaha ty175 and im soon getting a talbot alpine GL.

I do all the work by myself and have loads of manuals on all sorts of stuff.

I'll be happy to help anyone stuck with engines and classics when possible Smile

-Josh

Well done young man!

Talbot Alpines must be rare by now.
Good luck.

Welcome Josh. I can't remember when I last saw a Talbot Alpine and that's because they lacked any form of rust protection. In that respect they are in the same camp as the Lancia Beta. I hope you will not be expecting a sound car because the chances of finding one are pretty slim. On the other hand, the Talbot Alpine is so rare now that it would be a pity if at least one example can't be saved. If you look through this forum you will find some pretty heroic restorations. I sincerely wish you every success with the Talbot and you can be sure of some pretty sound advice here.

Nice to see enthusiasm for classics in somebody so young and ready to get your hands dirty too.

Thanks for the welcome, I will get some pictures of the Talbot soon, its in bad shape at the moment but I will be welding up the rust on it to pass a M.O.T. Very Happy

Look forward to seeing some pics of the Alpine, I've fancied one for a long while, and if I hadn't bought the Victor, I probably would have bought a very rusty 1984 LE model in Baltic Blue Smile

Also, check out: http://younggunsclassics.com/
