There have been a few Castleton caravans on eBay lately. I know of one close to where I live in Shropshire - they seem to be nice, stylish vans. I'm on the look out for a Thomson Miniglen, or something similarly small, which I can tow quickly. Travelling with my Winchester or Freeman is always a slow, sedate affair!

Hi Rick,

My caravan spotting expeditions seem to have been fairly limited lately. I did come across an early 1950's Vickers caravan while up in Scotland recently, which was very dry and intact inside, being stored under a corrugated iron shelter. Mind you, I was a bit the worse for wear once I had climbed over a barbed wire fence and fought my way through brambles to get at it. I'll try and post some pictures - it had very nice leaded windows amongst other features.

Ive also been on a couple of rallies with the Historic Caravan Club - both very wet, but with an interesting range of caravans on display. Again, I'll try and post a photo or two.

Barry.

I don't know what happened here - I seem to have been a bit over-zealous with my replies! My computer gave the impression that my message hadn't been posted!!
