Jim dropped me a line about a planned programme about putting together the ultimate old-car collection

Essentially it's a series of 6 30 minute programmes for ITV4, in which 2
presenters go on a quest around the country to see who can build the
best collection of classic cars. Of course they wouldn't actually buy
the cars, but visit private collectors, making a choice perhaps of just
one car per collection to put forward for their 'dream collection'. The
final episode would be filmed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed - where
a mixture of public and experts will decide which of the two presenters'
collections is best.

I'd like to speak to some private collectors to see what their reactions
would be, and talk through the possibilities of what we would film.
Certainly no commitments at this stage! If you or anyone you know might
be willing to talk I'd very much appreciate it. Meanwhile I've written a
post below to hopefully broaden the search...

ITV Productions is making a new series for ITV4 in search of the
ultimate classic car collection. We are looking for private collectors
around the country who may be willing to open their collections to our
presenters and take part in their quest culminating in a big deciding
episode at the Goodwood Festival of Speed...

Hmmm.... wonder who those two presenters might be?

It would be nice to see genuine enthusiasts take that role rather than dig up some z list celebs, cue Keith Chegwin etc. ZZZZzzzzzzz
