We've got an awning for our Safari, but don't know what make it is. All we know is that it was made in Germany. I would guess that it was made in the 1980's judging the colour, which is mainly grey with a small jade green and pinky red stripe near one of the windows. On the zips it says Solidor.
Sorry haven't got any photo's.
Can anyone tell us what make the awning is?? |

Hi
Bet you were pleased, just what you want, an awning with no canvas!
Cheers

we had been looking for ages as we need one for a 69 cheltenham size 675 eventally one turns up on ebay that will fit and we win it, so far so good all excited the dogs will have some where to sleep, (no fun in a 10foot caravan and a german sherpard & a mis fit), but then only one parcel arrives the seller had stuck the box with the awning in to the poles and it had fallen off some where, give the seller his dues he has refunded the money and he has got to chase TNT for a refund, if it does turn up we will then pay him again in the mean time the poles sit on our garage looking sad, so if any one out there has a 675 awning with or with out poles we are still looking - you start to get the feeling some times that buying this caravan was not a good idea and it is jinxed |

Ours came with the awning, it just leaks a little, but hopefully I will have solved that little problem. |

The crankshaft is still away being re-ground, a job that should have taken a week is now in it's 5th week and Mick hasn't brought down a spare engine for us. If we haven't got either the crankshaft or replacement engine, then the car ain't going anywhere. (For those that don't know the big end went on our 1960 Humber on our way back from a car show)
Then once the crankshaft is back and the engine rebuilt, we still won't be able tow with the Humber until the engine has done a few miles. Si, I might not be able to drive or know much about engines, but I do know that much.
Mike has now fitted a towbar to the Volvo, that replaces the Fiat after Mike had that accident 3 weeks agao and wrote it off having skidded on a wet leaf covered road and rolled the thing down an 8foot bank. At one stage, we had 4 cars and not one of them was roadworthy for one reason or another. The past 6 weeks have been awful. |
