I've never been into french cars, but is there anyone that has any experience of a 1957 Citroen Taction Avant, a B11, I think?

Okey kokey: Quite simple really. You have probably gathered that I know classic car people 'everywhere.' Well, one of them tipped me off today about this car. I dont know much about it other than. Its a one owner (from 1957 to 2004!) totally original and unrestored. And been standing in a garage since 1994.
Sounds good, but as you know, I dont like french cars - but I might make an exception here! Thing is, are all the parts that I might need available?

UJ they are quite a popular classic car and many have been restored or are still in service so the parts must still be out there.
Take a chance on it, I absolutely hated Citroen 2cv's until I actually owned one for a while and now I wouldn't be without one!
Innovative engineering, lateral thinking, and a kind of endearing quirky-ness is what you can expect. |

As far as I know the traction avant has a pretty good following so spares should not be to hard to get . |

Oops! I meant to say, its been standing in a garage since 2004
The trouble is 1) I dont want any more projects for the time being. and 2) I saw an ad yesterday for a 1951 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe that has been standing in a heated garage for the last 30 years....very desirable...oh problems!
John-saab: I saw another ad. here for a SAAB 96 pickup yesterday....ever heard of those?

I don't think SAAB ever made one but i know there are a few home made 95 pick-ups..the "buck" ends up very deep and a lot of strength is lost when you cut the roof off a 96 or 95. I will dig out a few pics. |
