Got the pass through the other day, this year's event is held on Sun 29th July.
Interestingly they've now decided to introduce a £5 vehicle entrance fee for exhibitors, whereas in previous years it was free to enter. £5 sounds a bit steep to me, even the Greenwood shows are only £2.50 aren't they? and at the latter you get an autojumble to mooch around. No mention of a fee was made in the application form either, just in the letter that comes with the pass - apparently it'll be collected on the day..

Hi
I got my pass recently too, but missed the paying bit, will go and have a look! I may not bother exibiting, and just go for a mooch around, I wonder how much it is to get in as a member of public. Damn cheeky if you ask me, not saying anything on the aplication forms! I have a feeling the mini club, may be rather anoyed! Audlem, may well loose a lot of cars I think!
Cheers

Can you guys please let me know how this event pans out.
To impose entry fees on the exhibitors is bad enough, but not to tell them when they book.......
If it is a successful event I may try the same thing at my events next year, but with a twist. I'll not even tell you that I want an entry fee when I send out the entry passes, but insist on it at the gate.
Perhaps not, I value my good looks too much!! |

Hi
From What I was told, as I was not there as an exibitor, there was lots of oposition to the five pound charge, and some people refused to take part out of principle. When I got there mid pm, in audlem there was lots of oldies driving around outside the event, and inside numbers looked considerably down from last year.
I will be going next year, but only if they drop the charge, or equally start charging the public.
I was told by an exibitor that the £5 charge was to cover the cost of the Proms in the park event that took place earlier in the year!
Cheers and the above is going of what others have told me!
