Hello everyone,
This is my first post. I'm looking into trying to restore a late 1930's or very early 1940's caravan to be a temporary RAF dispersal like in the picture below:
Can anyone give me any info? Make? Model? Abundance? Prices? etc. etc.

Thanks for the welcome, Rick.
I should have added that I've got to locate and haggle the sale of a caravan first.
I'm also into classic cars. But I'll leave the meat and bones to the other threads.

hi PAUL
the caravan in your pic looks like a 1930s cheltenham moose i do know the where there is one for resto but it needs alot of work .
the RAF never bought any perticuler type of van they just used what was availalbe at the time. i once had a carlight caravan that had been used on a RAF base during the war and had been damaged by a lancaster bomber !
as for price how long is a bit of string !
£50 for a heap to £5000 for a fully restored pucker van
if you want a pre war van it best to join the HCC there is a good for sale page at the back of the bi mounthly mag .
failing that contact me and i will try and find one for you
hope this helps Paul |
