Well here goes,
My name is Jerry, not new to old motors, had rods and yanks for as long as I can remember but just starting a love affair with a 1937 Dodge humpback van. Boy am I smitten, feel 18 again! am into Hudsons big time but also now!...oh boy. Anyway, before I go on, I can appreciate both the purists and the rodders eye and in the vans case its hotrod all the way.Suptle and it might take a moment or two before ya realise it but this van has to get me where I want to go, not 100mph just get me there, maybe towing too.I've had more fun travelling to and attending shows in my other modified vehicles than I could ever get from a stocker which if we're honest here can dish out their share of stress and grief let alone the limitations.
Upshot of this is I have most of the running gear from the '37 for sale and hope it all finds a use for some maybe on here.Not sure what I've got so help ID please
Also have for sale what I believe originally was a flatbed 1 1/2t? flatbed truck. Tell me what I have here guys and where to look for engine size etc.
It's a 1935 Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers truck, early year model as it has the suicide doors which many years ago was converted into a dump truck with a hand crank tipper on the back . Great condition had running but missing a starter if anyone has one, still got the original tool kit under the seat! wow.Great potential for resto, another conversion, leave as is or hotrod!
I could go on but for now thanks for your time reading my brief intro. Will post some pics of both these vehicles when I work out how to do it, give me time, I'll figure it, just not a pooter guy.
Anyone interested in the truck or any parts let me know. I'll be back soon.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the welcome, I'm near Ipswich in Suffolk. Will post some pics ASAP am getting some ads together for general listing on one or two other sites and window ad for the shows. Realising I have way too many projects with too much money tied up so selling off a few classics/colectable autos and motorcycles. Will be at the hotrod supernats at Old Warden on sunday, will be taking my Dodge station wagon to that one as both my hotrods are off the road at the moment.
To the guy on here with the chopped Dodge pickup..... luvvit, saw you at Billing earlier this year, didn't get to talk but had a good look round the truck and just loved it well put together without being over the top, the more I looked the more I liked, so good luck with it and hope to meet soon.

It's all your fault the Humber broke down on the way back from Billing. Laughing

You told your mates that we do some miles in the Humber and then what happens it doesn't make it home, breaks down at Stowmarket. Laughing

Hi all, Well the '35 dumper is now sold and gone to a good home in Boston.I think the guy is going to put it back into light service again on his nursery along with the odd trip to the pub, show whatever. I hope to see it up and running one day, it was a difficult choice to sell or not but it will now be looked at and back in action a lot sooner than if I had kept it so...
Well I can now concentrate on the '38 van. I'm off to Burnham Autos tomorrow to discuss the plan of attack. I'm gathering parts for it right now so if anyone has a LA 360ci motor for sale let me know. Will post the outcome of our discussions.
OT.... the Hudson truck needs a new master cylinder which I've ordered, bl@@dy silicone fluid ate the seals, won't be using that again. What with other problems on this truck this year it's been disappointing missing certain shows but thats the breaks.
Bought a new, well new to me 'mini 'caravan last week, will post pics soon, not quite a teardrop, looks like a spaceship in the 'jetsons' (remember them??)
Yes, found out my van is a '38 not'37 which maybe no big deal but still have loadsa parts off this coming up for sale, let me know if you need anything, be a shame to dump it all.
