I have a 1972 White MGB GT, reg GNJ 675L (so tax exempt) which needs a good home & some TLC, hence I'm selling it for a nominal £99.

I bought it some years ago from a mate who emigrated, he was restoring it and had done all the sill work, floors, inner wheel arches etc, it needs a bit of welding, but I think you would struggle to spend more than a day with the welder. When you look under it its has had complete panels removed and replaced not just patched.

It looks a mess, as it has been stored outside under tarpaulins, it needs a new rear valance (which is included) and new door skin (also included).

On the plus side it has new carbs, stainless steel exhaust, sport manifold and a refurbished genuine Webasto folding roof the Rostyle wheels are very good.

It is partially dismantled to the extent that the bumpers are removed, the drivers door is off and stripped, and the bonnet is off (the bonnet will need replacing) & I think the fuel tank is shot. The Rostyle wheels are very good.

It will need all the paint stripping and repainting, and all the interior sorting out, the engine runs fine, and the gear box and overdrive are all ok.

I would like the car to go to someone who is going to get it back on the road. I know I could break it and get far more than £99 for it! And I don't want it to go to someone who is going to do this! So if you know someone who wants their first classic and is prepared to put a bit of work into it they can have a bargain.

If anyone is interested I'll post some photos, it’s just at a bit awkward to photo as it’s in the corner of my garage!

Dave

For those who saw my posting last night before I deleted it the upshot is my wife has said yes to looking at the car..... she wants to drive it.... so I can show an interest in it.
What a lucky bloke I am to have a wife like mine.
