Hi, welcome to the forum.
Many projects fail part way through simply because an owner has jumped in and stripped a car back to the bare shell, without planning things up front. Perhaps most important is to take notes as you dismantle things, and take Lots of digi photos as you go along. In 6 or 12 months time you might not remember how it all goes back together!!
An alternative to stripping everything off in one go, is to remove a sub-assembly at a time (eg front suspension units, back axle, or engine) and restore that section. Only once that sub-section has been completed, move on and remove the next unit to refurbish. That way there is less chance of it becoming too daunting, and you don't end up with a garage full of rusty bits in one go.
Perhaps one of the MG clubs keep a list of surviving Jubilee editions??
Look forward to following the progress of your rebuild!
Rick
