Here's an interesting request, from someone involved in the restoration of the Bluebird water speed machine:
----------
Hi there, you were recommended to me as a possible source of help with something!
I'm trying to find out what kind of steering box was fitted to an Austin/Morris J2 van, from about 1954/55.
The box is actually required for the restoration of Donald Campbell's Bluebird hydroplane, and current thinking has it that the box needed came from this vehicle type.
If you or anyone you know can please help with any information re. this at all- the type fitted, pictures, leads on an actual unit- absolutely anything might just be the nugget of info we need to proceed.
Thanks for your time!

I've forwarded this request on to someone I know who has contacts within the Bluebird world, but does anyone have any info on the tech side of Bluebird???
