This email came over this morning, what do people here think?

---

Hi, I like to know if you can help, I need to know the tire size of a Morris
8 series E year 1947 and also, how much, you thik, it will the value of the
car fully restored.

Thank you

---

I think the owner lives overseas (USA?). I don't have the tyre size info to hand (ukdave might as he has a Series E). As for value? in the UK I think it'd be worth £4k or so, not sure about overseas though. If anyone has seen ads for a Series E in the States, could they reply with the asking price??

ta, Rick

The tyre (tire) size is 4.50 x 17. Tyre pressures (normal load) are 24lb front and 27lb rear.
Condition and originality determine value- anywhere between £2500 and £4000.

Mistydog is spot onwith the tyre info and values, I don't think the Series E was ever sold in the USA, that said I have sold some bits to a chap in the States who was restoring one.
There were loads sold in Australia, and for some reason they had thier own version of the softtop and of course build their own utes which were not avalible in the UK.
