Scotty, I can't disagree with that. An uncanny likeness! |

The Limousin would be a nice place to bomb around in one of those I guess. Was looking to move there myself many years ago. Took a three week spell looking after a farm around the Oradour sur Glane area, can't remember exactly where though. Oradour itself was an eye opener though! |

Went to Oradour two years ago. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.A visit there should be compulsory for all world leaders, and should include an overnight stop in the remains of the church.
Great bistro in the new village though, Chez Benjy, I think. |

Been watching it on ebay for a day or 2, will be interesting to see what the reserve is as it's a great looking bus. When you think what a VW goes for this would make a great camper.
I found this while trying to find the price range - http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C70332 - but this ones a POA.
While looking for info I also found this truck version of the L319
I want one of those |

I live 40mins from Oradour and have been twice, the first time was the worse, I felt like I was having a panic attach as I walked up the ramp to the village, what got me the most was the silence, not even a bird singing
Sorry about the change of tack but sort of on the same point I have seen some French react very badly to "german tourists" because of that very reason above
I quite like the little original 'sprinters' too _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

These are quite popular around Germany and Holland.
When I worked as a greengrocers boy in the late 60's,the shop had a diesel one for deliveries.
Here's a German site for lovers of said vehicles;

I went to the German Ebay last night to see if there were any for sale - only a fire engine version for €3500.
Quite a few interesting vehicles for sale and not that difficult to get to |

I too was a Saturday greengrocer boy. But they didn't run to a Merc for deliveries. I had to do it on these!

Jensen,I didn't get to drive the Merc. either.I was too young.All I had was a Honda moped,the type with the motor slung beneath the rear wheel,and a carrier of sorts on the front.Great machine for falling on your face in snow and frost.No weight on the front wheel.
I did have the odd ride in the MB though,when the old boss took pity on me,and he took me to the fruit auction in the middle of the country somewhere. . |
