Huge auction has been going on all week in Scottsdale Arizona USA.
It's being aired nightly on the Speed Channel over here.
So far an original '57 Chevy convertible and a '55 Chevy custom have sold for $100k each along with a couple others.
The real good stuff is saved for Friday and Saturday nights. Very Happy

Thursday's high sale was a 1954 Packard Caribbean Convertible for $141,000!

Only 141 000 USD? Sounds cheap to me... Very Happy

Didnt a 1970 Hemi 'Cuda convertble make 2 160 000 USD in 2006? Shocked

Is that their record for a muscle car?

You are correct UJ and it looks like the muscle car market peaked out then as they aren't selling very high at all.
The big sellers this year seem to be '50's big finned convertibles! Very Happy

The highlight of the auction was the '63 Corvette *Rondine" concept car which sold for $1,600,000 !!!
Others were the MonkeeMobile at $360,000.........'Robosaurus' car crusher at $575,000.............1928 Duesenberg J at $1,000,000.
