Was that a private car?

Hi Penman
It was a BSM car definatly a Dolomite, it was a brand new car and I felt like a king driving it. Dave |

Now that's a seriously smart car.
Anybody notice the American "Starsky & Hutch" Ford Torino beside it in one of the shots, that looks very smart as well (I think I've seen it "in the flesh" here at one of our American related shows). |

The car does look OK, and it looks as though someone hasput an awful lot of work into it.
But if I'm truthful it doesnt do anything for me.
I've noticed that there are quite few more modern cars being posted on here. Cant we have a cut off date? Or a separate section? Then I could avoid looking at them... |

Here's a tip UJ, if it says 'Dolomite Sprint' in the title - don't click on it and hey presto!...you don't have to look at it!
That's what I do with Chrysler 300's and stuff like that...it works fine for me! |

Not as easy as that O-N. Went into the ''seen anything interesting'' topic. what did I see? A V reg Escort! Whats that doing on here? There are plenty other places on the net for something like that, without the need to sully this forum... |

well its knocking on 30 years old - ok not really my thing, but others might be interested in it, plus its a rare thing to see other than at a show, which is why I put it on here. And lets not forget, it pre-dates some of the younger members of the forum....

Rick: I can understand your reasoning. But why not create a separate classic cars section, shall we say for cars after 1975, but no younger than say 25 years old? |

Hopefully, this posting photos of ''newer'' cars will die out naturally. As I remember, over the past few days there have been 4 postings of newer stuff. So therefore, you are probably correct Rick, at present its not worth it.
I suppose more or less everyone on the forum has seen these cars every day. Therefore, to me at least, they arent all that interesting. My daily driver is now 12 years old. I guess that very few forum members members have seen one in reality. Therefore, it will possibly be an interesting car to most, just due to it rarity. But would I consider posting a photo on the forum? No, sorry. It just doent belong on here. |

UJ an interesting/ classic car is interesting in the eye of the beholder, whether it be 100 or 1 years old, please lets not discriminate, if its interesting its cool. |
