I received the following request today, can anyone help? I had thought there was a club in the UK for classic ambulances, but I can't find anything online to back this idea up. The emailer is looking to find a suitable bell to fit on the front of a 50s ambulance.

Rick, you could mention to the enquirer to do a Google / ebay search for "Winkworth".

This was one of the companies who made the small bells you see on the front bumpers of ambulances and police cars of the period, similar to what you saw on tv shows such as Emergency Ward 10 & No Hiding Place.
