Forwardlook, the last I heard, 5% of the Swedish car park consisted of pre-70 US iron, so its not surprising that you see so many fins.
Where are you based? |

Peter: I'm not surprised you havent seen a De Soto Adventurer before, there werent all that many of thenm made, only 996 in the first year of production. Their final year, 1960 was the best with just over 11 000.
They were a Fireflite sub series. |

Thanks Uncle Joe. That certainly sounds like a pretty rare car. What would the survival rate be? Maybe 2%?

Peter, I couldnt even attempt to answer that one. They were classed as a ''speciality'' car, so possibly the survival rate is comparatively high. |

Forwardlook, before I forget, welcome to the forum.
Maybe you could post some photos of your car? Which meets do you get to in Sweden? |

argh; there was a local chap that held a DeSoto Adventurer for quite a long time doing nothing with it except letting it dissolve into flakes. i won't bore you with a count of how many times i tried to get him to sell it, only to see it hauled away a year or so ago.... bloody Gunnar. |

Forwardlook: You should try some of the smaller meets in Sweden, they are usually a lot more fun than Power Meet. As long as your car is old, you can post a picture of it....
62Rebel: Under the tools section of the forum, I have posted a picture of a tool. Nobody else seems to know what it is, but I think you might... |

Forwardlook: Rättvik is a good meeting, and one to be recommended. Thats getting to be quite big as well. I believe that it is, or already has been, split into two separates now, american and others. Do you want me to find out?
Otherwise there is one of my favourites, Wheels'n'Wings. |
