Guys,
I have managed to unearthed my old parts catalogues.

This is what I have:

Girling 1962 - 1972
AP Lockheed 1948 - 1962
AP Lockheed 1963 -
AP Lockheed 1935 - 1962 Supplement
Hepolite 1952
Lucas Ignition 1930 - 1970
Payen 1955

Modern (1990's on)

Crosland Filters (with an excellent cross reference and dimensions section old & new)
Fram Filters
Exhaust Fittings
Lucas Range
Lockheed Delphi
Batteries
Bulbs
Various Land Rover from Series 1 on PDF
Volvo P1800 on PDF
etc etc

I have also mange to get hold of a Humber Sceptre Mk1/2 Parts Catalogue.
The scans are a bit ropey so it will take quite a bit of time photoshopping it to bring 300 odd pages back to a readable book.
This, when finished, will be available on PDF.

cheers

Knowing the correct part numbers for older cars, eg brake or clutch components, can help enormously in finding unidentified bits on ebay and at autojumbles. Perhaps this would be a good thread for anyone who has parts lists, and is willing to root out numbers for other forum members, to mention what they have to hand. That way anyone who needs helps with number(s) will know who to send a message to. Good idea? I have some Lucas ones in the garage, so will dig them out next time I'm in there, and list them here.

Hi, I have quite a few Ford 60s and 70s workshop manuals:
Zephyr Zodiac V6. 1966 (Ford.)
Corsair V4 1965 (Ford.)
Zyphyr Zodiac !966-72 (Haynes.)
Consul and Granada 2-3litre 1972-77 (Haynes.)
Cortina Mk1 1962-66 (Haynes.)
Granada 1977-85 (Haynes.)

These are all in good condition and anyone interested is welcome to them, to collect, or for the price of postage. Otherwise I will have to dump them to make room on the library shelves.

when i worked retail auto parts i squirreled away out-of-date catalogues for my own reference, but over the years and moves i lost many of them. modern catlaogs often do not cover pre-1980 cars, and since nothing i own is that new...

Likewise 62,

I have been in the Parts side of the motor trade since I left school and also used to squirrel away the old books, hence the list on my original post.

Hi Thief!

The parts book idea is great and your PDF of the Sceptre books and the Girling /Lockheed lists would help me. How can I access the PDF?

I have a parts book for Hillman Superminx Mks 1 to 4. It's too massive to contemplate scanning or copying but I'd be happy to look up anything that anyone wanted a number for. Just email me. I'd be happy to keep an eye open for any wanted parts as well.

Hi John,

The PDF is 21.5mb so too big to e-mail, but I could post you a CD with it on - just need your address, maybe on a P.M.

As for the Lockheed/Girling parts - they are in book form only so I could scan pages and e-mail them to you as a small PDF.

Hi John

Sorry if this is not what you meant.

Re PDF files, if you don't already have it, Adobe Reader is available as a free download on many websites which have PDF downloads it may also be available free direct from Adobe.

Unless you intend editing or writing PDF files it is an easy way of accessing this files, but it is ONLY a reader.

Thanks Penman! I'm Adobe'd up already but I appreciate your input. Thief is snail-mailing a CD.

Cheers
John
