Hi

Sad news, I used to love watching his show, quite comical, even if some of the cars were slightly against my taste.

Cheers

Dave

R.I.P. Boyd.

I've been a hot rod fan for many years & feel saddened at this news.
People in this country such as John Baldaccino & Nick Butler aspired to Boyd to come up with their own weird & whacky creations.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of many.

Its sad to see him go of course.

One thing that I didnt like about him though was the fact that on occasion, he took absolutely perfect cars (eg the 59 Chevy) and did a custom on them. Why couldnt he stick to just customising things that were almost beyond repair, instead of destroying something so nice?

Good point.

Obviously, he had too much money or that model was more abundant in his neck of the woods...or a combination of the two.

Or maybe he was a pillock. Laughing

Splitting hairs, Cadzzilla was not actually BUILT by Boyd, but the work on it was farmed out to a guy in VA called Ramsey Mosher....(according to my sources, not me!) Shocked
