Which of us are E-bay addicts! Laughing

I find that I can't help look at the listings on a daily, twice daily, (and sometime more) basis for all kinds of stuff.

What gets me is that when a new item is listed say - an hour before I check there are quite often already 15 bids on it!

Come on.... who is it! Razz

Hi

I too am a slight ebay adict!

I seem to look on a daily basis if not more for items, generally the same items!

Cheers

UkDave "and won other stuff that I can't really explain why I bid" ....I know it....Oh I know it.... Laughing

The flip side of this inexplicable need to buy stuff I'll never use is that occasionally I get to sell it again to people who probably will!

Just today I have made over £300 from three items that I thought nothing of, the global nature of the thing is amazing as each item is going to a different part of the planet.
I had enquiries for one item from Japan, Spain, Oz, Germany, France, Spain... and it sold to Canada! Laughing

Granted there are bargains & rare stuff to be found on ebay, but I've never actually used it myself, mainly out of principal.
Classifieds in national mags are just as good.
The only time I look is if one of you guys posts a link on here to something specific.

Another ebay addict here. We`ve done over 750 transactions on ebay, 98 percent of those BUYING! I should count myself lucky in that of all the barrels of money I`ve spent, I only had one bad experience....a $20 part I bought turned out to be useless junk. But before I could post bad feedback, that seller had been banned.
We`ve bought from all over the US, UK, Germany, Canada, and Australia.
We generally won`t buy ordinary item, or anything we can buy here in town. We have gotten a LOT of odd, unusual, or rare items that way.

I will ad this old gto.
I have used ebay since around 1999 when it was pretty much in it's infancy, and I HAVE to say that overseas buyers (to me in the UK) are the most trustworthy.

It seems that the majority of sellers are pretty much honest, but the UK has the most amount of what I would call 'sly' ads and when challenged you get .... " Oh..it has a dent/mark/hole in it - I didn't know?"

Overseas sellers seem to be more trustworthy, maybe it's a cultural thing...er....honesty. Shocked

Another addict here too.

I use it a lot for Amazon parts - including a scrap car last year, and have got a lot of great memorabilia for the Safari.

Still selling the electrical bits I got from the local garage that was closing down.

Some of my best buys have been new parts for my Jeep Cherokee. Whenever I need a part I get a price from my local dealer and then check Ebay USA. Examples: Light switch - £60 UK price, £15 including postage from the US. Tailgate gas struts - £54 each UK, £39 a pair from the US.

EBay rules!!

I go through stages of looking on there and then go ages when I don't. Depends on how much time I've got. I did recently buy a rather nice recipe book on there and saved myself £5 (including P&P)

Sniper is always looking on there for Humber & Fairlane bits and our 8 year old looks for bits for his model railway. Thankfully he doesn't know how to bid, but I wait for the time when he does. Evil or Very Mad
