Some questions that land on the doormat are easier to answer than others, can anyone come up with any ideas for this lady and her query????

"Hello,
I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I wonder if you can help me? I'm trying to identify the make of a "classic" car that I've seen that I really really want, but I've only ever seen it as I've been driving so I haven't been able to stop and take a closer look.

The only thing I can tell you is that the emblem looks like three feathers, any suggestions would be hugely helpful.

Thank you in advance.
Caroline"

Rick, do you think it is possible to get a description of the car in case the feathers are incorrectly recognised??

I cant personally think of a badge with three feathers. Plymouth had two at one time, Salmson had two sets of three, but thats the best that I can come up with.

Interesting question though.

Rick, one thing that I did think about, was the fact that three feathers have a connection to Wales (Prince of Wales feathers) and I do have a faint memory of there being at least one welsh maufacturer.

Otherwise they have a connection with France and Cornwall. so maybe this is one for Greeney or Cornish Lass if she is still a member.

Rick, I think that the Gilbern badge was a welsh dragon.

47p2: I stand corrected... Embarassed Though I suppose one could say that each wing comprised of three feathers.....

How about a Pontiac. Some of the old Indian heads had 3 feathers.

the original enquirer emailed me a photo of a Cisitalia, saying it looked a little like one of those at the front, but shorter front end, and no roof. Now the front reminds me of an AC, possibly a Cobra - the Cobra badge, with the raised cobra on it, could look a bit (!) like a raised feather from a distance, possibly, so I've sent a link to some Cobra pics, to see if that is what was spotted Smile

PS in case you think this request was vague, how about this different one: not even a clue as to what the car looked like Laughing

"I am after some info on a special car that I saw today. I don't exactly know
the model make/number, but was hoping to get some help from you (or your
online forum)

I can't describe the shape except that it looked retro (around 1960-70s?)>
The back tail-lights were a funny sort of shape too. (Can u tell I am not a
bloke?).

If you have any information about this type of car, could you please email
me?"
