hi
While at the Barlow event i was chatting to the owner of the Zodiac and the subject of hidden fuel fillers came up.
So..............................

Please don't answer if you are a current or former Humber owner, lets see if others can figure it out.

Who pinched the idea from whom then?
Because that is where the Zodiac's filler was.

Surely not a question of who pinched the idea. The Humbers have a totally different strategy for hiding the filler.

When I got my Imperial, I am pleased the previous owner showed me or I would never have found it. The strange looks I used to get in garages when I pulled in and opened the filler cap!

Who knows ?.....Ford Customline's had the behind the n/plate thing in '52....had a friend drop of a '53 Cadillac Convert once, think it was running on fumes or memory.....when I went to move it ,it was out of fuel...looked everywhere.....couldn't find the filler, couldn't see anything helpful from underneath to give a clue....had to ring the guy the next day to ask the question, turns out the l/hand taillight flips up to reveal the elusive filler..... Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing

Did you need a fuel filler on a Chevette? weren't they fueled for life, a bit like a disposable lighter??? Laughing

I'm sorry Paul I just don't buy into the suggestion that the Chevette was fueled for life. If that had been the case then they would have mounted the the plastic windows on the rear vertically so you could monitor the fuel level for the full duration.

Hi Greeney
Well you seem to be the first one to come up with a public answer after all the hints.

BUT

Buzzy got it right first, in his pm to me early on.
