Thats great I would love bees too
We have a huge "linden" or lime tree in our garden and it buzzes all summer,
apperently very good for honey
last year we found a huge erm Embarassed bunch, flock, gaggle, crowd, of them hanging from it last year escapees from the local hive Laughing

Hi

The word you look for is Swarm! hehe Lime is good yes, never tried Lime honey yet! you can normally go and pick a fresh swarm up, by breaking the branch it is on off, and carry it over, placing it into a box, with no protective gear on, as they are that full of honey for there trip they are pretty harmless. If the swarm hasn't just left the hive though, they can be a bit anoyed as they have no home and will be running out of honey!

No bees allowed in the garden, just empty hives, as my sister is phobic of them, but we have a fair few at the out aparies, with about 40 -60 thousand in the average hive in the summer! hehe

Cheers

Dave

SWARM that's it, for the life of me I couldn't think, I am losing so many English words Rolling Eyes
The guy that came to collect them just had a huge box, gave it a tug and walked off with them Rolling Eyes
I like the comb wax too, good to chew your local comb and honey if you have hay fever, it builds up the resistance to the pollen
