G'day Old Van Man,
Wouldn't I like to have that old Eccles man...... how about you put in a bid for it on my behalf, and if you win it I'll send you a 2009 Vintage Caravan Calendar for Christmas
My daughter is coming over there in December, so she could bring the Eccles back with her
How's your latest restoration project going ? I've just started on mine but it's a 1961 model....... hardly "vintage" eh?

Your generosity is overwhelming
You would ship it to oz for £1500 or so, therefore I reckon there is a big profit to be made, judging by the prices vintage vans seem to go for over there.
I could collect and deliver to the port for my petrol costs! _________________ Brian

Hia Cobber, thanks for the offer, your calenders are very good ,but i might need a bit extra,if i was To ship the van all the way down there !
Will be interesting to see what it makes ,condition, location, and time of year may keep the bidding down.
I sold the van about six years ago, newly restored for £3000 this was to
some new age travllers in devon
Not much done on the lady nimble to wet and cold !
have been in the warm garage working on the Harley! |

G'day Brian & Old Van Man,
I see bidding has stalled at £1020... but there are 6 people interested and 7 days left to bid so maybe the cost of bringing it to Oz will be comparatively insignificant.
Apparently she's changed hands a couple of times over the past 6 years Paul ?
I think if I got hold of such a 'van I would never part with it, I would feel as though I were in Vintage 'Van heaven.... of course I would have to get a larger car to tow it...... and a larger garage to store it.... and a larger head to accommodate my ego
I will watch the bidding with interest.

Watch that “Old Van Man” Rick, the Thompson Dart has gone but the Eccles is still available..... maybe OVM has put a bid in and doesn't want any competition from you
It's up to £1220 with 5 days to go.... anybody like to guess what it will get up to ?
