Simple little classic to restore, at least he wanted a classic Rolling Eyes

yes they are, I like 2cvs too but cannot decide which ones I prefer they each have a certain je n' cest quo, The 4cylinder engine on the R4 is a robust little thing, both are easily deconstructed

Well I think they are quite similar under certain aspects!!
A friend of mine had an R4 and it was quite fun but honeslty I prefer the looks of the 2cv though, its great fun during warmer months with the canvas roof. Maybe its because I've always wanted to go topless and never had the chance yet!!! Laughing

Don't know where I've gone wrong - my sons on his 3rd Honda...They are all older ones, but think that's maybe a financial issue Smile

I do like the 4 though, why don't the French build any good modern cars? There is so much class in the old ones.

I brought mine up right, too! He's got two Matra Bagheeras, and a Matra 530, (currently----he's worse than me for gathering "projects!) And, like me, he's not got room for them.
It must be in the blood, as my daughter used to drive an Austin Gipsy.

Rick, that's the Bagheera. Looks like a small Ferrari, but sadly only has a 1400 Simca engine. It's mid-mounted, though, so it handles pretty well.
Fibreglass panels glued to a steel frame, which sits out of sight quietly rusting away, until the car bends in the middle.
Whats that phrase all restoreres use? something about it being nice when its finished?
