Greeney,

I've just woken up from sleeping thru' X factor and decided to have a wee surf. It's too cold, wet and miserable here in Ecosse to go into the garage.

I never noticed that today Art. I was laying the cable to the garage and backfilling, mind you the boots got extremely heavy as the day went on and they got covered in wet clay....Then I had to get the power wash out and clean up the mess Embarassed

Well, My new is laptop, 6 months old has given up. Complained as the mouse pad stopped working, aparently that is classed as wear and tear!

Now the screen has given up, like my previous one, would complain and send it back to the people I had bought it off, but the details are in my outlook express on the computer! Will have to go through acer direct maybe?

Anyway, if they try to say this is wear and tear again... Well.....

Been out in the shed or cycling all day, power nap in a saturday evening!

Cheers

Dave

I was flicking through a book called Classic American Pickups until a moment ago - just deciding what we'd choose given unlimited funding Smile a close call between a late '40s GMC 1/2 ton, and a '35 Dodge 1/2 ton

Dave,

I know you are on Vista but if it's the same as XP, hold down the F8 key and power on. You should get an option to format the disk. Just before you take it back of course.

Dave,

That was bum info I gave you. I think the last OS to use that trick was WIN 98. Sorry.

I'm usually internetting Greeney when the other half is Strictly X Factoring - "this week I'm mostly looking at PCP deals for my next daily driver." Surprised

Scotty.

I'm usually too busy trying to find something to watch which is NOT XFactor or Strictly Come Dancing. Tonight I found a programme about Thomas Telford. Very interesting. The final bit blames Thomas Telford for foisting Saabs (and presumably Volvos) on us by introducing the Swedes to technology while building a canal across the Country from Coast to Coast.

Your Saturday night is our Sunday morning!

I've just come back from the local Austin Seven Club Christmas lunch. It has been a stinking hot day about 37 degrees C, and I would welcome just a little of your cold, wet and miserable weather. One eye on the road watching other people in powerful air conditioned cars, and the other on my temperature guage !!! Just joking ! It was a great day.

Always online in the evenings but don't post much....you lot are so knowledgeable there's no need! Wink

Wrinx, it sounds as if you have to work outside. You are welcome to call round and use my garage if it helps.

Sadly I can't use that as an excuse, I have a large garage...about 4-berth!

But it's been sooooo cold and my motivation isn't too strong at present, on top of that I was supposed to be in there this weekend but have been struck down with man flu Rolling Eyes

...appreciate your offer though Wink
