You are right about the wheels, they are from an aircraft - a Spitfire to be precise. That's a Supermarine and not a Triumph!!!
The founder of this firm was Sam Alper, hence the Company name. This changed to Sprite and then became Caravans International who eventually were the biggest in Europe and had factories in the UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden and South Africa. They included Sprite, Eccles, Fairholme, Wilk, CI Savsjo and some that I have forgotten now. |
