Pretty sure there are, a member of our group sold an immaculate Morris ten with a set of the "traffic lights" back in the 90s.

Looking at Harry Edwards book The Morris Motor Car I'm pretty sure from the door width and the draught excluder it's a 1932 Morris Major Sports Coupe. The book image doesn't have all the sliding window gubbins.

There isn't a very good web image but these aren't bad:

If anybody wants to know how the trafficlight indicators worked ask, they were made illegal by Hore Belisha so you don't see many now. I seem to recall the Morris Coupes were only available in back originally, this one looks great in blue. _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |

Hi Roverron
How do the trafficlight indicators work, do they use all 3 colours to signal or what?
Thanks

A switch on the r/h side of the dash controls the lights. When turning left the red one on the left (top) and the green one (bottom) lights up. Obviously vice versa when turning right. The idea was to show other motorists which side it was safe to pass on. When going straight on the middle ones (orange) on both sides light up. The lights didn't flash. _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |
