Note the Morris pick up in pics5-6.This was converted when new by a coachbuilder on behalf of the current owners grandfather,so he could use it on the farm,as well as taking the family on outings. The world's first double-cab pickup? Not only unique, but also 1 family owned from new!
Enjoy.Regards all.Hans. |

Hans,
That's a very interesting collection of photos. The overall impression I get is that old car owners in NZ are much more conscious of maintaining the appearance of the correct period for their vehicles.
In this country you can go to car shows and walk among groups of 50s and 60s cars and get very little feeling of actually reliving that period but at least in the case of the cars you chose to photograph the owners have either been fortunate enough to have cars that never needed to be reprayed or, more likely, they were much more sensitive to the need for accurate choice of paint colours and they have largely managed to resist the addition of out of period accessories.
Thanks,

Hi poodge,
Great photographs, loved the Stude's - thank you in taking the time to post them.
This car - is it a Mazda?
Scotty. |

Do they come on the market very often? Any I've seen over here - including my own - have all came from the USA in LHD format.
PS thanks for the great pictures. |
