Thanks, Rick. Some great references here. will look out some of my own.

By the way, I love that NRMA van. Superb finish. What does NRMA stand for and do you reckon you could get a shiny silver like its roof way back when it was first built?

Harvey included a picture with the J Type Review this month. Beautiful print.

I've got that van on my desktop now.

I like J Types very much but Mr Erindoors won't buy me one.......... Crying or Very sad

Anyway NRMA I think means "The National Roads and Motorists Association" (aka NRMA Motoring & Services) which is a member-owned mutual organisation offering roadside assistance, travel, vehicle inspection and other services in New South Wales.

Mention of an Ice Cream Van on the links list reminded my of this book I have on my shelves.

Both vans on the cover are owned by friends of mine, Kevin and Margaret Donovan of East London and their JB has been at some of my shows in the past.

It is a 1957 JB with a Bristol Motor Bodies conversion of an ex-GPO Telephones van.

The book has several more pics of J and L Morris Ice Cream vans and even a few E83W's. I will post some more when I get a minute

Hi

Oooo I will be interested in seeing the E83W's, There is a place called Whitby Specialist vehicles who build ice cream vans in crewe, not to far from here, but they look like they are allways busy!

Cheers

Whitby have a collection of preserved ice cream vans too if memory serves, including an old Leyland and possibly an Anglia
