John,
I'll second that. The Ballachulish Ferry was one scary ride especially as in the '62 clip, the tide is going out. The boat would get pushed downstream and would then fight the tide to get to the other side.

Great stuff! Thanks for posting.
I think there was a TV program mirroring the Friese-Greene films a year or so back. They also used a vintage Vauxhall tourer and compared the old films to their current day equivalents.
