Hello all, Im a new visitor to the forum so be gentle with me .
Now middles aged I have ammased no great number of classics, although I have had a few through my hands. since the age of 14 when I managed to purchase a Fordson 5CWT van for £125 saved from paper rounds and pocket money.. Of course my old man said it would be just another flash in the pan, but 30 years later im still as enthusiastic as ever for classics.
I served an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic with a Citroen dealership, then went to work in a tyre factory for a very short time. Since day one I have collected tools and made every effort to hone my car building and restoring skills, I do all my own work and to date have restored /built around 15 classics of various vintage.
I currently have a 1933 Austin light 12/4 eton tourer with dickey, an A35 van, and a peougeot 304 convertable.
all are presently at some stage of restoration, the peugeot has been a long term on off job which is for the wife, but Im trying to do it with all NOS parts, there getting hard to find.. but there is no rush..
The Eton was purchasde as a project early this year and so far all the metal work has been done and the body is presently away for blasting
The A35 was bought in August this year but It was a bit of a shed so it is having major work done on it as well..
Ive developed a liking for the Austin 7 so perhaps a few of them are on the cards as future projects.. watch this space ..
Ive just found and secured a classic caravan to pull behind the Austin so that will be yet another project..
Thanks for listening.. |

Madfb - been following your A35 van restoration on the A35 website forum. Your sheet metalwork is a pleasure to behold and very inspiring - well done, mate! Did you sort the driver's side sill/door alignment out afterwards?

Hi
Welcome from me, and if you get chance, any pics of your automobiles past or present, tools, etc would be very interesting to see. I also have a thing for looking at pictures of peoples sheds/workshops, there is a thread somewhere that I started a while back.
Cheers
