Last Saturday (23rd April) was a lovely bright sunny day so I decided to go to the Top Hat Historic Race Meeting at Snetterton. As well as a great selection of classic sports, GT and touring cars on the track there were some interesting classic cars in the car park too.

The on track action coverd everything from an A35 and A40 Farina to Jaguars and classic Americam metal such as the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Falcon.

The following pictures give an idea of what there was to see, and this link will take anyone interested to a load more pictures.

Great photos. Couple of comments: the Lotus 23B looks a lot like an MGB to me ?

And the Jaguar Etype looks like the Lightweight model, or a copy of.

Looks like it was a great day out, thanks for posting.

Yes - well spotted regarding the MGB - finger trouble with cut and paste on my part Embarassed

According to the race programme the E-Type is a 1963 model.

Certainly was a good day out.

Cheers, John

It may be an original lightweight, but according to this there were only 12 made

but you can still get replicas built, here and in USA
