only know that the 61, has some kind of strange fly wheel, that were phased out, soon after it was built.

For what it's worth, early minis had a spring type pressure plate which was replaced with a diaphragm type. |

Correct, all the Red nasty halford connectors were replaced, with the correct Black counterpart.
The metal clip to secure it, to the innerwing is also back in place.
Found it under the dashboard were it was put to hold the indicator relay.
Wire for map light, were used on one of the number plate lights.
Nice puzzle
Here is what the inside looked like.
Only rooflining - dash padding & parcel shelf left, of the original bits.
I fitted some speaker grills, to cover the nasty holes.
The correct colour should be light Blue - more on that later on.

Some of the chrome parts were in bad state, so they were replaced with better used parts.

The TV programme 'Salvage Hunters - classic cars' featuring the purchase and restoration of an early Volvo Amazon was repeated recently. The boot badge made of Zamac (Mazak) could not be chrome plated so they had it specially chrome painted.
The specialist painter Kevin Jenkins operates from a premises in Leicester.... does anyone know where? |

I had some 13" wheels chrome painted in the 90ies.
That was a guy in Sweden, who also did covers for Sony Ericsson. _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |

Sorry, I forgot you were in Denmark. I like Denmark. I once drove a Lancia Beta many miles over there. |

Yes indeed. I liked my Lancia. It was a bit different for a 'Company Car' and what's more, I didn't have to pay the repair bills!! The interior was a glorious "herringbone" design and the car had all the nice extras.
Shame they didn't fit power steering because it was quite heavy to manouvre slowly.
On one occasion the engine block had to be replaced because it had cracked and was the cause of the head gasket failing. On holiday one year a CV joint disintegrated leaving a trail of bits all over the road. Parts had to be imported from Italy so I was forced to take even more paid leave!!
I was lucky with having one of the last Lancia Betas before the Government banned them because of terminal rust. The irony was that the car maker was so ashamed of the rust problem that they were buying back cars and scrapping them. Mine, being one of the last made was completely rust free and could well have survived. |

Yes, and now the Lancia name is almost gone.
Here is a clip, with a radio / tape player, I might try to fit, if its big enough.

The Beta was fun to drive, although it had one or two handling characteristics that might not have appealed to some drivers. It was dubbed "a driver's car" and it really benefitted from being driven briskly. |
