Hi all , as members of the caravan club we use they're insurance for our cheltenhams . Neither of our cheltenhams have their serial no's readable in fact the nyala has lost the chassis plate and due to this the insurance company wants a serial number for the caravan and put us thru to CRiS to obtain a number . We have just rec'd the forms back , everything was present and correct but we had not put the serial number on the form . A phone call last night to CRiS to explain that the whole reason of going thru them was that we did not have a serial number and all they could come back wioth was we need a policeman to view the caravan and write to confirm there is no serial number . We then rung the caravan club insurance to see if we could speak to someone in the cheltenham club to sort out a serial number and the response was to do what CRis said .
Thanks to being honest we now have to waste the police time whereas if we had just made up a number in the 1st place . |

How ridiculous!
Why not just tell them you have now found one, hidden somewhere inside the panelling, and give them a number that is over 30 digits long so it won't fit into their database! _________________ Brian

I'm sorry am I missing something here (and I don't mean serial numbers on caravans either. Do Chelthams have a habit of breeding a bit like Sceptics and Rovers??? _________________ 1953 Humber Hawk

You didn't say anything about another caravan, mind you we didn't speak much. I think we were both busy chatting to everyone else. _________________ 1953 Humber Hawk
