While checking some alternative insurers, since it is soon for renewal,I was informed by one chap,on giving him some details, that my car is not shown on the files of DVLA as a Volvo 120 but has been deemed to be a
Volvo 544.These were out of production years before my car was made!
Doubtless, if push comes to shove, they will swear blind that I gave them
false information and must pay some exorbitant fine.
The chances of them admitting that they are at fault are minimal.

My documents clearly identify my car as a Volvo 120 estate and have done so since I bought it 35 years ago,Rick.

I don't know how the DVLA do it.
My Green Rover 2200 TC came back on my first V5 as a white Rover Maestro 6cwt van. This was obviously queried and so they upgraded it to a Rover 220 gti in blue, and finally after about six months was corrected to the description that had been on their computer for the first 26 years of its life. _________________ Brian
