Where do you keep your mobile phone. Mine is usually in my pocket beside my car keys.
We had one of the Bosch diagnostic reps in work (Dingbro) last week who was telling us that the signals from a mobile phone will eventually wipe out ignition key cards and remote locking devices and also can wipe out credit cards if kept next to them. I asked him if he was kidding and he said he wasnt. He has had a few instances of this happening especially with the Megane and Laguna key cards. Have any of you ever come across this. Its a new one on me.

I think roasted brains are more of a problem than roasted nuts.
I keep my phone in a drawer unless I'm going out in the old car when it then moves to the glovebox.

Hi

Hate mobiles, have one incase I have a bee reaction or brake down! Also use one as a clock, as I keep breaking pocket watches, can't wear wristwatches, all these modern things!

Cheers

Dave

I have had a mobile phone continuously since 1977, and carry a private one and a work one at all times. They have saved me hundreds of pounds in avoiding wasted journeys, and earnt me thousands by being contactable at the right time.

Still can't do texting though.

On the subject of man-bags, I lived in Germany for several years in the 1970's and found one so practical for wallet, keys, glasses, pen etc that I thought I would start a revolution and carried one when I returned to the UK. After a couple of months of taunts, my boss asked me to stop using one as customers were questioning my sexual preferences!

I use one all the time when in mainland Europe, and have tried a few times over here but with the same results.

I wouldn't even attempt to use it in the UK Shocked
Its not a shoulder one though like some, that is just pushing the limit I think

I was hoping to merge into the background with the beret and man bag apart from the fact I am 6'2 and built like a brick toilet being an ex "London Irish" rugby player and the fact most of the French are 5ft nothing.

my phone is usually sat discharged in a dark cupboard somewhere. I could never understand people being willing to be phoned at home by work colleagues in the evening, or worse during days off, just to discuss work-related things, so I made a point of never divulging it at work.

Mine lives in my pocket (if I remember to take it) and mostly switched off. It only gets switched on if I need to make a call or I have pre-arranged for the memsahib to phone me.
I first had one in 1989 when I was building up my business; as a result there was no escape from bad news or frivolous enquiries wherever I was. I blamed it for contributing to my heart attack in 91 and resisted owning another one until fairly recently.

I have had a handheld one continually since 1987 a year or so before that I had the case type and one that looked like a car battery with a phone on the top

I have gone through all the 9000 communicator series Nokias from mid 90s and now I have an iPhone 3G. Even though I find them invaluable I have always had the rule "just because it's ringing doesn't mean you have to answer it" especially as they are multi use devices now not just a phone
