I don't know much about Lacre except they appear to been tied up with Albion at one point when they were building public service utility vehicles such as mechanical road-sweepers, etc.
This link will at least start you off - Graces Guide - Lacre Motor Car Co.
If the above link doesn't work, copy & paste this - http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Lacre_Motor_Car_Co

Hi Oldhop
I'm not sure if you Know but about 15? years ago The Northland Vintage car club in Whangarei built an early Lacre Charabanc from the ground up for club runs and they still have it. (Not sure of the year but it has solid tyes)
I think the engine came from Southwards and they collected bits and pieces from all over so it might be a good idea to contact them and see if they have any spares and I have no doubt they would have a lot of information.

Just thought you might like to see this, a three wheeler with large front sweeper and a small rear sweeper.
Taken in January 1972 at Lacre's factory in Hatfield
Sorry about the back lit photo
There wer a good few 'New' cab/chassis ready to be lacre'd
the main out put at that time were airport runway sweepers.
