Hi
I could get a penny in that, but then again, I am not sure if I fancy driving an E83W to all the shows far and wide. One or two distant shows a year is fun, and lots of little runs!
Look forward to hearing more, as that is a cracker of a van! You got somewhere dry to store it, as it has got to be quite tall hasn't it?

uote] Hi yes i bought it from ebay. got it dry stored and heated ready for a fine day. Its been fully restored and is as nice in the engine bay and underneath as the rest of it. Looking forward to using it. |

Hi Dave yes it is fairly tall so it will not go in a standard garage lucky mine is ten ft high. |

| Hi Rick i am not too good on a computer and had to ask a friend to put the pics on, i could never have done it so if you will have to bear with me, Edward was we think a gown van used for the rag trade in London and then went to an antique shop and finished up in Devon where he was used to deliver silver cross prams at a pram shop. Completely Restored with shiny red engine in June last year and bought from a lovely guy on e bay who had it as part of his removal livery all in matching colours.Removals not being too busy in these times he sold his fleet along with Edward and when i saw him i had to have him. He has a friend called Danny, an old Beardmore London taxi which i use daily, bodyshell made of alluminium with a fibreglass roof all handcrafted, all original with working meter and everything works as it should, he does about ten thousand miles a year and can pretty much keep up with normal traffic conditions unlike Edward whos top speed seemed to be about 45mph. Still i love him all the same and he can take as long as he likes. I would like to buy a spare condenser if someone could point me in the right direction. Iwill keep you posted on Edwards adventures as i plan to use him quite a lot, probably dai ly when the weather improves. I firmly believe it does them more good with frequent use and although he is poss concours condition, he will get used often. Regards Gary |

A bit dear, but generally good stuff, handy to have it as a back up if you need something.
Quite agree, frequent use in a light manner is the way forward. Ernie has fairly frequent use, bar the last month or two as I have been so busy!

| I dont know who built the body Rick, but if anybody could give me some ideas i would love to know. Regards sign writing, what did you have in mind? While the weather is bad i am adding a glass bowl and filter to the fuel line so i can keep an eye out for any crap even though the tank has been overhauled i think they are invaluable.and well worth having. Also trying to get hold of a 6volt regulator as mine is faulty. Thankyou for the additional pictures on the different bodies and yes it is like the laundry van or gown van. Regards Gary. |
