Do you have the factory handbook and workshop manuals for the A30? if not, they'd be the first thing on my shopping list if it was mine.

Crikey Rick that was a quick reply !

I have bid on several workshop manuals and handbooks on Ebay but always seem to lose out at the last minute Sad

Apparently the A30/A35 Owners club have some that I might be able to use but they said that they're not convinced she's an A30 (might be an A35 engine apparently) so until I go down and meet up with them I won't know for sure.

On another tack, thanks to you Rick and of course the forum so much for all the help/advice that I have been given.....it really has been quite inspiring to have so many people in so many places showing interest in classic cars Laughing

The A35's engine was a slightly larger version of the A30's (948cc instead of 803cc) but essentially they are the same engine. Our old A30 had an A35 engine in it, for a bit more 'poke'.

One of the factory BMC manuals issued in the 50s covers both the A30 and A35, so that'd probably be the one to look for, spiral bound with a light blue cover.
