|
|
Hello to all,
Can anyone suggest a company that are able to make/supply a copper head gasket for my 1952 Daimler DB18 Consort 2522cc 6 cylinder.
Quotes so far have been ££££'s I only want the gasket not the whole engine?? LOL

There is a bloke in our local (I know its sounding doggy allready ) who looks after some really old crocks; WW 1 vintage , and he has made head gaskets at home by using 3 or 4 layers of thin copper, with a gasket seal on the cylinder and head face's only.
They seem to be reliable, apparently modern car head gaskets are made this way but in steel, which gave him the idea, he does have the block and head surfaced, to minimise any risk of failure.

Can not believe my luck I have found a fantastic company based in New Zeland that have a large list of classic car head gaskets at very very good prices incuding delivery, just type the following name into google search GASKET CRAFT (NZ) and then save the excel file.
Please tell me if you come across this thread and it has been useful to you.
Regards to all
