Chaps, do any of you know of any good places I can look for those black knobs on 1950's dash boards? A couple of years ago I was at the NEC Classic car show and there were traders with boxes full of them, now I want a couple I can't find them - well I can't see them on eBay or Google!
More specifically I want a black knob 3/4" in dia. with S (for Spot) on it and another 3/4" with Fan on it to distiguish it from F (for Fog).
Anyone know of a good web site to look at? |

Easter Monday BBC4 programme about Jim Clark
Hope this may be of interest to readers
It's basically just a heads up for a new tv documentary a friend of mine has put together.
It's called 'Jim Clark - The Quiet Champion'.
Last week I attended the preview screening of a new Jim Clark documentary that has been produced by Mark Craig for Mark Stewart Productions (I gave them a little help with the sourcing of film footage).
The programme contains a wealth of rare film footage, including many home movie clips supplied by Jim's family. Contributors include Jim's sister Bettie, John Surtees, Sir John Whitmore, Sally Swart, Ian Scott-Watson, Graham Gauld, Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, Andy Granatelli, Bob Dance, Cedric Selzer and of course, Jackie Stewart.
It will transmit on the evening of Easter Monday on BBC4, and if it gets a big enough viewing figure, a repeat on BBC2, which would be nice.
The programme is a fine portrait of the man.
Please tell any of your friends that may be interested!
Not to be missed, believe me.

Rich,
There's a site on Ebay that sells the plain knobs. Check item 200312415016. I've been thru' all the switches and the only letter currently available is W.
