Hol's are booked. We are not going to sample the cusine and fleshpots of France this year but are off to the leafy lanes of Warwickshire. Our friends in a TR2, and MGB. Followed by a shabby Sprite containing the memsahib and me.
We are renting a house from an enthusiast who can offer workshop facilities should they be needed, they usually are. Roll on the end of June.

I was there dec 2007 and was not much impressed. You see a lot more when visiting the NEC in October, or Beaulieu in Sept, or.... |

The altitude of anywhere north of Watford makes me dizzy... have you seen how far it is up the map? I think Paris may be nearer, but not quite so foreign. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. Do not believe the negative remarks about the Transport Museum in Coventry. It is well worth a visit as is Gaydon. The thing that I like about Gaydon is the cars are not behind barriers or ropes. You can wander all around them and have a good look.
If you are into art may I suggest a visit to Compton Verney, a superb display in a lovely setting. If you are going to go around the Cotswolds there is a cracking small motor museum in Bourton on the Water.
At the end of my road you have Warwick Castle and near the Castle is Lord Leycester's Hospital. This is a very old home for servicemen (a small Chelsea Pensioner's type of place) with interesting displays and an excellent tearoom.
I hope that you enjoy your visit to my part of the country. If you want any recommendations for places to eat just pm me. _________________ Keep Torqueing,

Many thanks for the info RotoryBri.
I saw a brief shot of the Coventry Motor Museum on a strange thing, with Penelope Keith driving a De Dion, last night on telly. Looks interesting.
The memsahib is heavily in to art and a visit to Compton Verney may placate her to some extent.
