Ebay Item number: 370184208565
Even knowing nothing about the engine, would you buy this?
This is a mixed metal engine over 50 years old. Early crankshafts were prone to breakage - but has this actually got a later one, and even so is it serviceable. Anyone up for £675 to find out???????

Hi
Put in a bid for £.75. You might get it and it could save somebody paying that to avoid a bidding war. Laughing

I'd be worried reading things like "I think some of the alloy block would need to be built up with weld and re-machined to seal against the head gasket where it has corroded". Doesn't sound like a cheap lump to fix up, unless they're all like that by now?

My point exactly Rick. Lots of them are like it and welding immediate post-war aluminium is tricky.
The Jowett Car Club has commissioned new patterns and new castings in a modern Alloy. They are not cheap, but at least you are not buying £675 worth of absolute rubbish
