We had an informal meeting at the Brookland Museum in Weybridge today and thought you may be interested in seeing a few photos, The weather stayed reasonably fine until we lined up on the banking which made it all rather slippery – the angle at the top is just incredible and the thought of those brave chaps racing round there at over 150 mph sends a tingle down the spine. The place really is like stepping back in time with the members bar and restaurant decked out in regulation Edwardian bottle green gloss wood with cream walls! All good stuff, if you haven’t been it’s worth a visit; mind you I stuck to the old museum site and didn’t cross the river to the “Mercedes World” so I haven’t a clue what goes on there... All modern stuff isn't it?

Cool photos, really like the line-up in the last one.
Did you get any car shots higher up on the banking? |

| That looks wonderful, I've too have been and marvelled at the place, its construction as well as the courage to drive there. There is a famous picture of John Cobb in his Reid Railton Napier special on the banking setting the speed record, all the wheels are off the ground! |

Did you get any car shots higher up on the banking? | No as you can see by the umbrella's by that time it had started to rain and despite appearances the banking get very steep, and lsippery, if we'd have lined up a 5th row people would have had trouble getting out of the cars! In fact if you clamber to the top edge of the banking you almost need to shuffle on your back-side to get back down again, I think it's about a 30 deg angle at the top. |

| Certainly a great place, I love the motoring section (wasn't too keen on the aviation side of things there), on my last visit there were two gorgeous red Vauxhall TT's from the 1920's |
