Twiggy, I agree that Autoshite is a great site showing the fun side of running unloved cars.
But I am sure that most of us on this forum feel this is the best site on the net, due the breadth of vehicles covered in terms of type, age and condition. _________________ Brian

I agree. Autoshite is very fun to read and I'll probably sign up to it soon. But there is a predominance of 80's right up to new cars on the site. Although I like many 80's cars (I'm a fan of early Metros for example), oldclassiccar caters for a similar sort of car to my own. It is also a very friendly forum, with very nice and helpful members. If your car is less than perfect it doesn't matter, you're treated just the same.
Also, some other forums only seem to cater for classic supercars, whereas this site is mainly about affordable classics. I love the way old vans, lorries and caravans are included as well, great stuff! _________________ Richard Hughes |

I agree totally; I'll add that you are still made welcome even if you don't yet own a classic
Autoshite is a great site, but I think that the two are complementary rather than rivals.

I agree this is a great Forum that caters for all and everyone helps one another.
Autoshite ( what a name eh ! ) is of interest to everyone nearly. There are some classic caravans in it as well. 28 days later is also a good site showing derelict factories and the like. The pictures of Longbridge abandoned are amazing with bodyshells and engines all over the place.
Urban explorers are what you call these people who are into raking round old factories etc. Mind you it looks interesting. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |
