As a new member thought I'd better say hello. I've recently finished the restoration of a 4 berth Viking, which sadly has had to be sold due to us having an upward slope into the drive and a corner so tight I couldn't even nudge it in with the car. So something lighter has been found, a Thomson Glennevis of 1973 vintage, which is undergoing a rolling restoration and will soon have its own website. I must admit its the restoring I really love so there could soon be a second van on the driveway to keep me busy.
best wishes to all Steve

Hi Rangerover.
Have you considered one of these. ?
I lashed one together many years ago using a 1/4 H.P washing machine motor and a reduction box. 4 - 12 X 12 paving stones gave some downforce.
The worm drive 90 degree box provided braking, along with a few notches on the van brake. |
